Research on the Pig Adrenal Medullary Cells is essential to the study of pheochromocytoma models, stress-induced catecholamine dysregulation, hypertension studies, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, and neuroendocrine tumor research. The adrenal glands are paired, triangular-shaped endocrine organs situated on the superior (upper) pole of each kidney. Each adrenal gland contains two main parts: the cortex and the medulla. The cortex produces steroid hormones, such as cortisol, aldosterone, and androgens, while the medulla secretes catecholamines, such as adrenaline and noradrenaline. These adrenal-gland-secreted hormones regulate essential physiological functions, including the aspects of metabolism, stress response, osmoregulation, and reproductive function. Dysfunction of the adrenal glands potentially results in conditions such as hypertension, metabolic imbalances, or endocrine disorders. The Pig Adrenal Medullary Cells are to be used with Pig Adrenal Medullary Cell Medium (Cat. No. ACM0921). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
