ADK Knockout A549 Polyclonal Cells

  • Product Type:

    Polyclonal Cell Population

  • Species:

    Homo sapiens (Human)

  • Tissue Source:

    Lung

  • Disease:

    Lung adenocarcinoma

CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout cell population targeting adenosine kinase (ADK) in A-549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells. Disruption of ADK elevates intracellular and extracellular adenosine, which activates adenosine receptors (ADORA1, ADORA2A, ADORA2B, ADORA3) to modulate cAMP and AMPK signaling, perturb purine homeostasis, and alter methionine cycle flux. Ideal for investigating adenosine-mediated immune evasion, metabolic reprogramming, and receptor pharmacology in non-small cell lung cancer models. Suitable for adenosine quantification, receptor expression analysis, cAMP/AMPK assays, drug sensitivity screening, and metabolomics profiling.

Description

ADK Knockout A-549 Polyclonal Cells represent a CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout cell population designed for targeted disruption of the adenosine kinase (ADK) gene in the A-549 human lung adenocarcinoma model.

This engineered model provides a powerful tool for interrogating adenosine-dependent signaling networks without the influence of functional ADK, which normally catalyzes the phosphorylation of adenosine to AMP.

The polyclonal nature of the knockout population preserves the inherent cellular heterogeneity of the parental line while ensuring loss-of-function across the bulk culture, enabling robust and reproducible investigation of adenosine accumulation and its downstream consequences.

Researchers can leverage this model to dissect the role of ADK in purine metabolism and adenosine receptor signaling in a lung cancer context, with broad applicability to studies of metabolic dysregulation, immune modulation, and therapeutic resistance.
