Cancer (Tumor) Cell Lines
Cancer/tumor cell lines are immortal cells derived from cancerous (tumor) tissues. These cell lines are used in cancer research to study the mechanisms of cancer development, invasion, and metastasis, as well as to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Ascent ResearchTM offer a collection of over 1,000 cancer cell lines covering a wide range of species, tissues/organs, donor profiles, cancer types. From primary tumors to metastatic sites, we’ve got the models your research needs. All of cell lines in Ascent ResearchTM collection has been authenticated through STR profiling to ensure reliability.
Carcinoma
Carcinomas are cancers that originate in the epithelial tissues, which line the surfaces of the body, body cavities, and internal organs.
Carcinoma is the most common type of cancers, and different types of epithelial cells develop into different carcinomas, including squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, transitional cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma.

Mesenchymal Tumor
Mesenchymal tumors, also known as mesenchymal tissue neoplasms, include a variety of tumors that arise from mesenchymal tissues, such as fibrous connective tissue, blood vessels, bone, adipose tissue, muscle, etc. These tumors can be either benign or malignant. The malignant mesenchymal tumors are referred to as sarcomas.

Hematologic and Lymphoid Neoplasms
Hematologic and Lymphoid Neoplasms are tumors that arises from hematopoietic and lymphoid cells. These tumors include leukemias, lymphomas, and plasma cell neoplasms, etc.
Neuroectodermal/endocrine Tumors
Neuroectodermal/endocrine tumors include both neuroectodermal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. These two tumor types are interrelated and comprise a family of neuro-related neoplasms that arise from neural tube, neural crest, or endoderm.
Ascent Research support cancer/tumor cell lines from rare neoplasms and cancers, such as chordoma, mesothelioma, and hereditary cancer syndrome.
