ALDH1B1 Knockout CaSki Polyclonal Cells

  • Product Type:

    Polyclonal Cell Population

  • Species:

    Homo sapiens (Human)

  • Tissue Source:

    Uterus (cervix)

  • Disease:

    Squamous cell carcinoma

The ALDH1B1 Knockout Ca Ski Polyclonal Cells are a CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout cell population derived from the Ca Ski cervical carcinoma line. This model disrupts ALDH1B1, encoding a mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase that oxidizes acetaldehyde and retinaldehyde, supporting retinoic acid signaling and aldehyde detoxification. These cells are applicable to cancer stem cell biology, drug resistance, alcohol-related carcinogenesis, and retinoid signaling research. They facilitate Aldefluor flow cytometry, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, and functional assays for aldehyde clearance and retinoic acid quantification.

Description

The ALDH1B1 Knockout Ca Ski Polyclonal Cells are a CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout cell population derived from human cervical carcinoma epithelial Ca Ski cells.

This product carries a targeted disruption of the ALDH1B1 gene, generated via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing, creating a loss-of-function model for investigating mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member B1.

The polyclonal nature preserves genetic heterogeneity and provides a robust system for downstream functional analyses, enabling reproducible assessment of ALDH1B1-dependent phenotypes in aldehyde metabolism and retinoid synthesis.
