ASGR1 Knockout 143B Polyclonal Cells

  • Product Type:

    Polyclonal Cell Population

  • Species:

    Homo sapiens (Human)

  • Tissue Source:

    Bone

  • Disease:

    Osteosarcoma

The ASGR1 Knockout 143B Polyclonal Cells are a CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout population of the ASGR1 gene in human 143B osteosarcoma cells. ASGR1 encodes the major subunit of the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR), which mediates clathrin-dependent endocytosis and lysosomal degradation of desialylated glycoproteins through interactions with ASGR2, clathrin, and the AP2 adaptor complex. This model is suited for studying ASGR1 function in osteosarcoma, glycosylation-dependent cancer mechanisms, viral entry, and hepatic clearance. Key applications include endocytosis assays using fluorescent asialoorosomucoid, western blot, and cell proliferation assays. The polyclonal format facilitates heterogeneity analysis.

Description

The ASGR1 Knockout 143B Polyclonal Cells represent a CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal knockout cell population designed for targeted disruption of the human ASGR1 gene.

This model provides a heterogeneous loss-of-function resource in the 143B osteosarcoma background, enabling pooled functional studies without clonal isolation.

The polyclonal format preserves the diversity of editing outcomes, offering a system to investigate gene function in a population-relevant context.
