HDAC4 Knockout DLD-1 Polyclonal Cells

  • Product Type:

    Polyclonal Cell Population

  • Species:

    Homo sapiens (Human)

  • Tissue Source:

    Large intestine (colon)

  • Disease:

    Adenocarcinoma

CRISPR/Cas9-edited polyclonal HDAC4 knockout DLD-1 cells provide a loss-of-function model in a human colorectal adenocarcinoma background. HDAC4 is a class IIa histone deacetylase that represses transcription by deacetylating histones and transcription factors such as MEF2 and p53, and its activity is regulated by CaMKII/PKD phosphorylation and 14-3-3-mediated nuclear export. These polyclonal knockout cells are ideal for investigating HDAC4-dependent epigenetic regulation, colorectal cancer biology, and drug responses. Applications include proliferation and apoptosis assays, ChIP-qPCR for histone acetylation changes, and screening of HDAC inhibitors in colorectal cancer research.

Description

The HDAC4 Knockout DLD-1 Polyclonal Cells product consists of a polyclonal population of DLD-1 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cells (Homo sapiens) engineered via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated disruption of the HDAC4 gene.

This targeted gene disruption generates a loss-of-function model suitable for studying the biological roles of HDAC4 in a colorectal cancer context.

The polyclonal format avoids biases inherent to single-cell clones and provides a representative distribution of knockout alleles within the cell pool.
